How to plant a natural Privacy Fence with Privet Hedge plants

Purchase the privet plants by finding them available in a group if possible where the price will be much more affordable. There is a link at the bottom of this article where the Privet starter plants are available as a group for sale. Privet grows rapidly and soon you are going to have your own natural Privacy Fence!

Soak your Privet Hedge plants in water while you prepare the ground for the planting of your new hedge fence. They usually look a little like sticks when purchased as starter plants but do not worry, they grow fast!

Dig holes and keep them at least one and a half foot apart in a row. You can space them up to three feet apart if desired, but your fence hedge will take longer to fill out and connect to the other plants. Just dig the holes a little larger than your roots on the plants that you are using.

Place your privet plant into each hole and cover the hole up with the soil that you took from it while digging. Pack firmly but not hard. Repeat this process with each plant until the planting is completed.

Water in your plants well and keep them watered for the next week or so on a daily basis. After that time has passed, you can let up on the watering and water just once a week.

When the plants start to grow and bush out, prune them slightly and keep them matched up in equal sizes as they grow. Before long you will have grown your own Privacy Hedge by using Privet Hedge plants! Enjoy!
